UK-based telecoms specialists, Comvergent Ltd, have this week announced their successful bid to deliver maintenance services as part of the planned scope of Project Marshall.
The £1.5 billion MOD project is managed by Aquila-ATMS; a provider of support and services in military air traffic management and aims to ‘transform the military Air Traffic Management (ATM) capability at all MOD operated sites in the UK and overseas’ to ‘improve performance and deliver through-life savings’.
After a successful tender with Aquila, Comvergent Ltd has announced that they will be delivering preventative and reactive services to the microwave/WAM network infrastructure.
Managing Director, Paul Garston, explained why the telecoms specialists were the perfect match;
“Having worked on projects such as mission critical Emergency Services Network, microwave maintenance is something Comvergent excel at and we are excited to deliver these across a venture as large-scale and high-priority as Project Marshall.”
The bid announcement follows on from a summer of new contract wins for Comvergent, including FLM and RAN projects.

“Due to its size, complexity and sensitivity, Project Marshall requires trusted partners that are experts in their field; we were impressed by Comvergent’s track record of delivering successful, large-scale telecoms projects and their reach and turn-around time, which was well-matched for the venture that will cover over 80 different locations.”
